Mako® Zinc Phosphate Primer

Quick drying anticorrosive primers for blast cleaned or mechanically cleaned mild steel. This Primer is suited for use in many general engineering applications such as metal fabrications, machine tools, agricultural equipment, electrical components and sheet metalwork. Always use with Mako® QAD Fastmatch Paints.

A high build primer containing a red or grey zinc phosphate anticorrosive pigment. This product is ideally suited to airless spray application, but can be brushed on small areas only. Available in red or grey.

Suitable for overcoating with Mako® QAD Fastmatch Paints. Mako® Primer is not suitable for overcoating with two-pack products.

• Touch dry: 1 hour @ 20ºC
• Hard dry: 4 hours @ 20ºC
• Recoatable: Minimum 4 hours, maximum 3 months
• Packing time: Overnight minimum
• Coverage: 5m² per litre, dependent on substrate and method of application
• VOC content: Maximum of 499g/litre
• Volume solids: 45%
• Flash point: 25ºC
